DON'T FREQUENT STARBUCKS

Subject: STARBUCKS
Recently, British Royal Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees, and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Royal Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee.

So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should support them by NOT buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground, fighting street-to-street and, house-to-house. If you feel the same as I do then pass this along. Thanks very much for your support.

I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more. & nbsp; Sgt. Howard Wright,1 Platoon, Recon Company, Royal Marines PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS... PLEASE PASS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR E- MAIL LIST, IN MEMORY OF ALL THE TROOPS WHO HAVE BEEN WOUNDED, LOST LIMBS AND EVENDIED, SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE !

Also, don't forget that when the Twin Trade Towers were hit, the fire fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by for water for the survivors and workers, and Starbucks CHARGED THEM!!! AN ADDED NOTE TO THIS: STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY BASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEING REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS.

Photies of Magor Trucking Bikers on the day out to the Submarine Museum at Gosport.

The Sun Shined All The Way To The Submarines

Well we told everyone that the run was on, and the Sun was going to shine, don't listen to HTV or BBC, just get on your bike and enjoy yourself.

The "Sceptics" thought it was going to rain all day, that includes you Dynamite!, Some had to work and wish they could of come, but three of the Trucking Bikers arrived, along with three of the Trucking "REBEL" Bikers, and all met at McDonalds.

We waited just in case anyone else turned up (Dynamite! Where are you?), for half an hour we waited but nobody arrived.

Riders today are Tony Curtis, Dave Davis, Tim Marshal, Roy Stanley, Mike White and Dave "Maximus" Thomas.

We decided to leave out the trip to Stonehenge and go to Submarine Museum via a Full English Breakfast some where on the road from Warminster to Salisbury.

"Maximus" lead the way from the Coldra on his speed rocket and quickly he was doing 95mph, the rest of us stayed within the general speed limit, and caught him up on the Severn Bridge, when he realised nobody was behind him.......

The SUN shone on our backs all the way.

After a good hours riding we stopped for a breakfast in Hill Side Cafe, some of you will have probably stopped here on your way to Salisbury, or do you just stop in the BUS?
After a good breakfast, "Maximus" lead us to the Motorway. I better watch out he likes it in front, he just needs to remember the rest of us are behind him and he should wait for us.

I lead from the Motorway to Gosport and the Submarine Museum, arrived all safe and sound with the SUN still on our backs, it was quite warm as well.

Whilst we were looking at some of the old one man submarine, "Maximus" went and bought is ticket to get in the museum, nine pounds to go in he told us, but this includes a guided tour of the Submarine HMS Alliance. So in we go and I negotiated a price for the rest of us of only Six Pounds... "How did you do that?" I hear you ask, well I told them the five of us were "Old age pensioners" all the way from Wales, and the girl on the till was very obliging and agreed we all looked like Grumpy Ol' Men. Poor "Maximus" was devastated, he was the oldest of all of us and paid full price, that will teach him to go off on his own!
After a wander around the Museum we joined the tour of the Submarine "HMS Alliance" which was definitely very informative and agreed by all well worth coming down here today.

Tim, lead the way back home, after turning a few wrong ways, and stalling at the junction we were on our way back. This time Time took us via the M3 and the A34 and through the countryside towards Swindon, a great run back..

Last stop in the garage a little more fuel, and drink and we were away, well "Maximus "was, he went out first and that was the last time we saw him, hope you got back okay?

Well this "Tail End Charlie" malarkey is a bit demanding, I thought I spent 50% of the time in the front looking behind to see if everyone was okay, at the back you spend 90% looking behind to make sure the Ol' Bill ain't up your jacksey because of the speed your doing trying to catch up to the leader. Simon, Tim your job as "Tail End Charlie" is safe....

I believe everyone enjoyed themselves, so next time don't worry about the weather, come out and have some fun.

P.s. now have a look at the photos, click on the one above this report.

Magor Trucking "Rebels"

The Magor Trucking "REBELS"
Dave Davies, Tim Marshal, Roy "Frills" Stanley & Simon Down.

The Rebels met this morning to start their tour to Portugal. The morning started off dull, but the Rebels will brighten it up by the time they get to Portsmouth. They will catch the ferry to Santander in Northern Spain. They will travel around the coast of Northern Spain before they hit the coast road down to some place in the middle of Portugal but along the coast, which I am sure somebody will remind us all of the destination.

Although they had their camping gear; one man tents, sleeping bags, camp beds, camp roll, frying pan, saucepan and kettle... they hoped Tim had done his homework and could find them an "Open" Bed & Breakfast.

Poor Ol' Dave couldn't get his talkie' walkie' to work, he would have to ride to the ferry listening to the others talking and won't be able to put his two-penneth worth in, but at least he will be able to have a fag or two or three or ten.

Roy looked like something out of the Seventee's with his new Frilly Leather Jacket, and Knee High Boots (see the photies). I hope they get the chance to do that song "YMCA" in Portugal (don't forget to practice it and put it on video).

Roy made his final text to his family saying he was missing them already ( he only left them 45 mins ago), and would be stopping at every souvenior shop from Wales to Portugal and back to buy them all prezzies.

Tim was all kitted out in his Kama Khaki suit and Hi-Viz, if he goes on the beach with his riding kit on, make sure he keeps his Hi-Viz on or you may not see him. Tim as volunteered to be the REBELS tail-end Charlie, this is a lonely job, at the back of the pack, he will be behind Roy, who will be riding without baffles in his exhaust, so poor Ol' Tim will be deaf by the time they get to their destination.

Simon didn't say much, but I noticed he didn't have as much camping kit as the rest of the Rebels, Simon where are you sleeping?

Tim is going to try and keep us informed of the Rebels progress over their tour.

So Watch this BLOG for more

Bon Voyage Rebels have a great tour.

We're staying on blogger!

I think this blog with a little help for the photies from photobucket will do what we want.

Stay tuned, hopefully in a couple of days I will have got my head around the site and then invite all.

I will be able to put some of the old bike trip photies on this site for all to see, don't be embarrassed, well Dynamite, you might be embarrassed, but then without your photies, nobody would have a laugh!

Beware though! if this site works, I will be there with the camera l@@king for any opportunity to take that special photie...
